From the snowy plains of Wisconsin comes the Gilson “Cold Snap”, part of the Snowmobile Legends Regular Series by Monsters on Machines.
A blue-skinned monster with wild white hair tears through the tundra on a vintage Gilson sled — a true relic of the early-1970s snowmobile boom. Printed on premium UV-protected vinyl and die-cut for clean edges.
About the Machine
The Gilson Brothers Company of Plymouth, Wisconsin, briefly produced snowmobiles in the early 1970s during the sled boom. Known for their durable outdoor equipment, Gilson’s snowmobiles were built with dependable Midwest craftsmanship and powered by compact two-stroke engines. Despite their quality, the sleds couldn’t compete with industry giants like Arctic Cat and Ski-Doo, leading Gilson to exit the market after only a few model years. Surviving examples are now prized collectibles among vintage sled enthusiasts.
Collector Tip
Own a slice of frozen Wisconsin history — the Gilson “Cold Snap” captures the spirit of small-shop innovation, monster horsepower, and the frostbitten fun that built the snowmobile culture.
